The London Eye or Millennium Wheel

The 135m London Eye or Millennium Wheel, view from London bridge (Westminster bridge) next to the tower of Big Ben. Foreground, the 1905 Bronze Statue Of Boudica, Queen Of The Iceni And Her Daughters attacking Londinium around a.d. 60, a design of Thomas Thornycroft. The eye is encompassed by 32 cabins. A slow Eye flight takes approximately 30 minutes. Twenty-fife people fit into an egg shaped compartment, this means London Eye has a highest capacity of 1,600 visitors every hour! From Waterloo tube station is five minutes walking distance to the Eye ferris wheel. The eye offers full disabled access. In March 2007 London Eye has been bought by the Merlin Entertainments Group also owners of the London Dungeon.
