photo: O2 Arena - formerly the Millennium Dome, wondering what the dark curved form to the left on the roof may be? Blackwall tunnel's inlet and exhaust shaft! Actually the oval shaped O2 Arena is located right in the middle underneath the O2 umbrella a hemispherical roof. Before the major redevelopment of the existing property, completed in June 2007, O2 was called The Millennium Dome. Access to the O2 dome is through the main entrance at the south side and also through the west entrance. The O2 also houses IndigO2 a small 2350 capacity event venue located to the right of the main entrance. The arena itself is accessible by 8 entrances (counterclockwise entrance A to H as shown on the picture above). Entrance A, B and C are opposite the O2 main entry. Entrance G and H are opposite the O2 west entry. Entrance D, E and F can be accessed from the entertainment boulevard, there is no entrance fee to this amusement area. O2 is also selected as a venue for the Olympic Games in 2012.
graphic: bbnl O2 Arena - Floor Plan and Seating Chart (see footer copyright notice) The graphic shows an all-purpose block plan layout of the blocks on the upper and lower tier. Between the upper and lower tier on level 2 and 3 there are about 96 luxury boxes (suites). The rows of the blocks are labeled alphabetical, row A points to the front row seats. An exception is block 106 and 107 where AA to HH rows are in front. The upper tier blocks have approximately 16 rows and the lower tier blocks have approximately 22 rows. Both levels have between 16 to 22 seats side by side. The floor-seating plan is adaptable for different events and may greatly differ as well for concerts and sport events. Blocks on the floor (standing) have removable seating and may be numbered like A1 to A3, B, C or D1 to D3 from the left (stage) to right or counter clockwise. Above the stage are the essential large cinema-like video screens, which still ensure a nice view, also from the farest seats. The spectators view from some seats to the right and the left of the stage may be a little disapointing. We have no information about the suite view.
